Hi every one
First of all;congradulations to Ashley Pohlman and Christina Shields.Both were medal winners at "Nationals"in 2007!!Ashley took 8th in the youth girls TJ at the USATF YOUTH TRACK AND FIELD NATIONAL OUTDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS,held at Illinois Benedictine University in Lisle.Christina took 7th in the sub youth girls PENTATHLON at the AAU NATIONAL JR OLYMPICS in Knoxville,Tn at the University of Tennessee.
Christina is an 8th grader at Keith middle school in Rockford,Ill.Ashley is in 7th grade and attends Edison middle school in Janesville,Wisconsin
Great job ladies----we are proud of you!!
Also--the Warrior team of Jason Granberg(19:55),Gabby Dekok(24:12),Rachel Ellis(24:59)and Kerrissa Wood(29:53)--1:09:06 total time,took first place in the team competition in the 2007 Beloit Fall Classic held at the YMCA on Oct 20th.Great job!!
Jason,Gabby,and Rachel are 8th graders at Aldrich middle school,and Kerrissa is in 6th.

The Beloit Flyers Track Club is a private organization established to promote physical fitness and sportsmanship in the life long sport of track and field.
Our goal is to give youth experience and exposure to the sport of track and field.
In the USA, Track and Field is the #1 sport participated in by elementary, middle, and high school age children.
The Beloit Flyers are PROUD to SUPPORT this statement.

What is age group track?
Age group track is track and field competition based on an athlete's age for the current calendar year.
What are the different age groups?
AAU age groups:
- Primary - born in 2000 or later
- Sub-Bantam - born in 1999
- Bantam - born in 1998
- Sub-Midget - born in 1997
- Midget - born in 1996
- Sub-Youth - born in 1995
- Youth - born in 1994
- Intermediate - born in 1992-1993
- Young - born in 1990-1991
USATF age groups:
- Peewee - born in 2000 or after
- Bantam - born in 1998-1999
- Midget - born in 1996-1997
- Youth - born in 1994-1995
- Intermediate - born in 1992-1993
- Young - born in-1990-1991
Who can participate?
Any child from 8 - 18.and masters
What does it cost?
- AAU Membership: $10.00
- USATF Membership: $20.00
- Uniform Fee: $30.00
- Meet Fees: $ 2.00 - $6.00 per event
- T-shirt:$10.00
What equipment is required?
- Water Bottle
- Running Shoes/spikes for competition
- T-Shirt or Sweatshirt
- Shorts or Sweatpants
When is practice/meets?
Please see 2007/2008 practice and meet schedule page.
Meets are on Saturdays and sometimes on Sundays.
